We had a private workshop for my daughters birthday. Our host was very knowledgeable, got on great with the kids, and made the whole experience welcoming and fun. I would definitely recommend attending a workshop here.
I totally enjoyed my time here. I stumbled upon this place and it was such a good time. My inner child had a ball creating. They have all the tools you need to create what you like. The day I went they were doing mosaics. They has had a class going for people who deal with pain and use art as a relief. I love this place and its mission to pour into the community.
Came for a mosaic class booked through class bento and it was really brilliant. The instructor was great and the space was lovely - a nice surprise to be offered snacks and drinks too! The range of tiles to use in the mosaic was amazing and we were encouraged and supported to be creative and try whatever we wanted. The timing was very tight so would recommend any attendees to come with an idea and get started quickly to avoid stressing/rushing at the end. Will definitely be back!
Piotr came to our house for a kintsugi class and it was exceptional. He was so well-prepared and so kind, and we LOVED it. We bought our own little kit they sell to continue doing it on our own when something ceramic we own inevitably breaks in the future…!
Tucked away is this little community oasis in Stockwell (10 min walk from tube station). This is the "cheapest" (£50) place to do Kintsugi in London. I'm so glad I chose Arts4Space as funds support community, not profit/tourism. The fun session flew by, led by 2 clear, attentive teachers with plenty of snacks/drinks provided. I recommend getting a canned drink if possible, as I got juice, which they served in a lovely blue ceramic cup. But once everyone starts working, ceramic sawdust gets everywhere on the table and air, which you don't wanna drink. If you love your hand-on crafts, processes, and stunning results, this is THE activity for you. For that reason, it's incredibly popular, so book a minimum of 3 months in advance (I booked in November, and the earliest slot I got was the end of Jan!). Packaging they provided was all paper and eco-friendly. Only thing not making it 5 stars is that they didn't let us choose from their wider selection of dishes, as advertised. Generic ones were laid out pre-choosen by staff (most weren't fantastic looking). This created a sorta 'hunger games' by snatching up the most decent looking one in arms length (my one in the pics was actually my 2nd choice (still lovely). So during introductions, have in mind up to 3 dishes you fancy in front of you, in case they get grabbed!
