It's a lovely wood to explore with little ones either under the tree cover or out in the meadow. The only thing was dogs off leads when they should be on them. And dog mess which hadn't been picked up. So enjoy the wood, but watch where you're stepping.

Lovely spot for a walk or a picnic. Beautiful variety of native trees planted by the local community. The wood, which was originally a rough patch of scrubland behind the school, was acquired by the parish council after Jessamy, who lived in Burrough Street in Ash, convinced the village that it would be a perfect spot to create a woodland, for the benefit of the local community, as a celebration of the Millennium. It is an award winning spot, recognised for the benefit it brings to the environment and the wellbeing of local inhabitants and visitors from further afield, as well as being educational. Entry is free and there is plenty of parking. It is now carefully tended by Mick and local volunteers. The Wood are distinct areas for conservation and enjoyment - including hazel copicing and a habitat for doormice, a wetland, a meadow, and dappled woodland glades with seats, logs and benches. It's not huge, but it is beautiful and a welcome oasis.

Love this little woodland, great for a quick dog walk. Really wide choice of plants and trees, a brilliant asset to the adjoining school.

Small wood perfect for doggy walks. All flat terrain. Doggy bin provided at the entrance. Benches if you need a seat. Never busy even at peak times and well covered for hot sunny days.
