The museum tells the story of Ashford and its people through carefully curated collections of artefacts relating to the Borough of Ashford. Visitors can discover exhibits ranging from historical ambulance stretchers and model traction engines to threshing machines built by local apprentices, offering fascinating insights into the area's industrial and social heritage. Operated entirely by volunteers from the Ashford Borough Museum Society, this independent charity is dedicated to conserving and displaying local heritage. The museum is open seasonally from April to October, Tuesday to Saturday, 11 am to 2 pm (last entry 1.30 pm), making it an accessible destination for families exploring Ashford's cultural attractions. The venue is indoor and offers free entry, making it an ideal family outing. A fantastic museum with a lot of history about Ashford and how it's changed over the years. There's plenty of different things to see, with a big focus on the railway and how Ashford grew around it. Suitable for all ages

Visited Ashford museum and it was an amazing experience. It gives a great insight about the timeline of railways in Ashford and has telltales from the world wars as well. The train parts, pictures from the past and miniature train model fascinated the kids much. They also enjoyed getting locked up in a little jail , in the section showing police forces items. The staff there was very friendly, kind and helpful and gave a lot of amusing information.
