A beautiful well maintained park for families. We had a lovely time and the children did too.

Lovely peaceful park in the middle of West Kirby. Lake, bowls, tennis courts, children's playground. Little tea shop run by volunteers teens. Toilets which are always immaculate. Peaceful walk right on the start of the Wirral way. Lovely place the children enjoy feeding the birds then having fun in the playground. Xx

Love this park. It could do with a little more care to the flower beds and grass. But it is a lovely place to have a stroll around the lake and upper park.

Ashton Park is located in West Kirby and was created in 1899 after discussions with local landowners, as late Victorian public park and is to this day a much loved. The park has two crown green bowling greens, a football pitch, tennis courts (grass and hard surface), basketball court, children's playground and an area for outdoor concerts and other events, cafe and public toilets, in fact just about everything you might expect; plus and an amenity block I think. All together this is a much used park and is kept in tip-top condition by park staff - a real asset for local residents. It's also possible to easily access the iconic Wirral Way countryside path and easily reach West Kirby beach. I have visited the park on many occasions as regularly walked along the Wirral Way from Heswall as far as West Kirby and stopped off at Aston Park for a bit of a rest and sit down: always impressed without a shadow of doubt. I've visited before but we came this time for the viking festival, great event with cool displays stalls and food stands, the park itself is great and has a lake and public toiles
