Explore a child-led adventure playground with tyre swings, tree houses, climbing frames, and loose parts where kids aged 6-12 direct their own play.

Baltic Street Adventure Playground is a supervised adventure playground located in Dalmarnock, Glasgow, offering free entry for children aged 6 to 12 years, with younger children welcome when accompanied by a carer. The site features constantly evolving play spaces including tyre swings, tree houses, balancing lines, tunnels, a large climbing frame, and an extensive collection of loose parts such as ropes, crash mats, nets and balls. | The playground emphasizes child-led play, allowing children to choose their own activities and become involved in everything from daily site management to development projects. Specially trained playworkers supervise the space and support children's play pursuits, from imaginative games to construction projects. The expansive outdoor area includes a water feature, large sand pit, fruit and vegetable garden, two campfires, and an outdoor food preparation area alongside numerous dens and hide-outs. | Additional facilities include indoor spaces with toilets and kitchen access, plus storage containers holding adult and child-sized tools for construction projects. The site also houses animals and features the BSAP Food Hub. Established in 2013 as a response to the lack of play space in the community, the playground operates as a Community Interest Company involving children in all aspects of development. The organization operates Tuesday to Friday 3pm-6pm, Saturdays 11am-5pm, with extended hours during school holidays. Registration is required for new visitors.

A wonderful community project and play space. Went with my wee one today - staff were incredibly welcoming, showed us around and invited us for food when it was ready. (A range of options for all diets for lunch and fruit when you wanted it.) Kids loved the rabbits and chickens and climbing, splashing and mucking about. Worth a visit, bring a change of clothes!

Such an amazing place for young children to come play, interact with their peers and learn some fun facts about the animals. Children were also allowed to pet the animals as well as, play freely and enjoy the outdoor play area. Free entrance but had to book the tickets in advance (on Eventbrite) as it can get quite busy at times.

Fabulous place to go for children of all ages. They can explore and play using their own imagination. Learning to take risks and learn from their own play. Staff very welcoming and always willing to speak to anyone. Having the opportunity to see and pet the rabbits and hamsters. See the ducks and hens walking around the environment. Fun place to meet and talk with parents.

I want to give more than 5 stars. This is some place. Where kids explore and get dirty and can entertain themselves on things they find. They climb, and run, and swing, and build. Did the dirt break my washing machine? ✔️ Did I almost have to take my son to A&E? ✔️ (but Robert as the first aider was right over and sorted him out!) Did the boys just have an absolute ball? ✔️ (aged 1, 4, 6, 7, 10 & 11). Did I suggest they roll each other down a hill in a giant pipe? ✔️😳 Would we go back again? ✔️✔️✔️ Check it out. I can't recommend it highly enough. Great staff, great play. Whole day spent enjoying!!!! FYI - adults have to book - go to website, lunch is provided for free so if you can, please make a donation via the website too. Parking is on street and is also free. It's perfect. Kids will need a hose down and you'll need a boil wash!!!!!

We had the best day here. Toddlers loved it, staff are lovely. Highly recommend. There's animals, sand, mud kitchen, things to cling, ride on toys, slip n slide, and so much more to do. Wear old clothes and bring spares!
