It was easy not bad... I parked my car near one entrance gate (wooden gate to enter trail) car parking was free on road side. First 20 min hike was difficult, later it was easy walk. 360 view , beautiful flowers in pink color everywhere. Must go place.

Bamford Edge delivers some of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the entire Peak District, looking directly out over the stunning Ladybower Reservoir and Hope Valley. The walk up from New Road is relatively quick and accessible, though having sturdy footwear is essential for navigating the uneven, rocky gritstone paths—especially if it has rained recently. It is an absolute dream spot for catching the sunset and taking incredible photos on the stone overhangs, but parking fills up extremely fast on weekends, so arriving early or coming later in the afternoon is definitely the way to go!

Weather wasnt the best however didnt spoil the fun! Amazing place and multiple tracks to the photo point. It was steep on the track we went up however we found a far easier path to walk down afterwards. Amazing place to take photos and only a 20-30 minute walk however it only felt like 10-15 minutes

The hike from the parking lot to the cliff top isn't very long, taking about two hours, making it a moderate-intensity hike. Along the way, you'll pass a picturesque and tranquil bamboo forest where you can rest. Afterward, the path becomes more rugged and steep, filled with loose rocks, so be careful. Finally, you'll reach a cliff with stunning views of the dam. It's recommended to have a picnic here and enjoy the scenery before descending along the path or on the other side back to the parking lot.

Definitely worth planning a visit to Bamford Edge. The views are spectacular, so many great spots for photos or to sit and have lunch! Parking is tricky, Heatherdene Car Park is great for those looking for a long hike/walk to Bamford edge. But the car park is very popular and fills very quickly. I’d recommend an alternative of parking along the side of ‘New Road’ (Either towards the bottom or top of the road depending on how long of a hike you’re looking for)
