The park is not maintained, the ponds are heavily littered with all sorts of rubbish from bottles to keyboards! The fanshaw Avenue entrance of the park has become a meet up area for drug addicts to get their fix! This all needs to be fixed! It’s a beautiful family park otherwise!

Barking Park is a lovely green space for a relaxing walk, picnic, or a bit of fresh air 🌳😊 The lake and open areas make it great for families, kids, and dog walkers 🦆🐕 It’s usually peaceful, with plenty of space to unwind or enjoy some outdoor time ☀️ A few areas could be maintained a little better, but overall it’s a really nice local park 👍

Beautiful with lots of different species of birds and wild life. We have spotted on rare occasions a turtle in the lake as well as group of very large rare fish snd birds.

I had a wonderful time exploring Barking Park, one of East London’s oldest and most charming green spaces. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by long, tree-lined avenues that are perfect for a relaxing walk or a morning run. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, making it a great escape from the urban hustle. One of the highlights of my visit was meeting the local residents—the squirrels! They are quite active and friendly, often seen jumping between the ancient trees. Seeing them so close adds a lovely touch of wildlife to the park experience. The park is very well-maintained, with wide open spaces and plenty of benches where you can just sit and enjoy the fresh air. Tips for your visit: • Boating Lake: If you visit during the warmer months, don't miss the chance to go boating on the large lake. • Wildlife Photography: Keep your camera ready for the squirrels and various birds around the park; they make for great shots! • Splash Park: If you are traveling with kids, the splash park area is a big hit during the summer. • Accessibility: The paths are flat and easy to walk on, making it accessible for everyone. Barking Park is more than just a park; it’s a community treasure with a rich history. Whether you are a nature lover or just looking for a quiet spot to unwind, this park is a must-visit in London 🌳🐿️

Such a beautiful and relaxing spot perfect for a morning walk or an afternoon unwind. The tree lined paths are serene, especially when the sunlight filters through the branches. The lake adds a lovely touch, with ducks and birds bringing it to life. It’s well-kept, spacious, and ideal for both a quiet stroll and family time. Highly recommend visiting around sunset the reflections on the water and golden light through the trees make it absolutely magical.
