Nice place but charged £25 for entry when only 1 hour left till close. On top of that tried twice to join as member and couldn’t be sorted.
Lots of “attractions” and felt a bit crowded. It’s nice to know everything is for charity and everything is/was really cheap. However a lot of “attractions” left unattended leaving 10-15 minutes of waiting per “activity”. Lovely scenery and Selection of Steam and diesel locomotives however I only got too see about 3 so would be great to display some steam or diesel locomotives next too the shed.
A great place for children and train enthusiasts. Cheap and cheerful. Make sure you check their website for opening times. Only open in the afternoons of the 3rd Sunday of each month between April and October (plus special runnings).
Fantastic place for a family stay. The character of the house and history of the estate shine through. Yes some quirky areas and some cleaning up/decorating needed but on the whole we enjoyed our stay and will look to return.
Absolutely love it we go when ever we can. It is only a small place perfect for my little ones.
