This is a 15 minute walk from the bath city center. Offers a lovely view of skyline and both step free and step access.

The Bath Skyline walk is a very enjoyable 6 mile circular walk taking in superb views of the city and its world famous architecture. The route passes through lovely countryside, including limestone grassland and, woodland and even an area of disused quarries and mines, with striking rocky cliffs and outcrops. There are also some interesting landmarks to see, such as Sham Castle. By the standards of Bath there's not an excessive amount of elevation change, making this walk fairly easy, taking roughly 4 hours if you follow the route. I added a diversion to see the Dundas Aqueduct which was well worth the effort. The start of the trail near Bathwick Fields is less than 25 minutes from the railway station. The route on the National Trust website is easy to follow and points out features of interest. Much of the trail is on fairly level paths, though some sections near Bathampton Down are considerably steeper and can be slippery when wet.

Great free experience. Walkable just bring sneakers. Slightly uphill. Park on side of the street if you one by car. Very peaceful and you get a vast grassy expanse view with the city skyline to the far distance.

The Bath skyline walk is fantastic 👌 It not only takes you out into Beautiful countryside but also gives you fantastic views over the city of Bath. The route is about 6 miles and took us about 3 5 hours although we weren't speedy. Keep an eye out for the yellow direction arrows and you will be fine, although there are a couple of areas where there are no markers for a bit. Spectacular views and we kind of wished we had taken a picnic but sadly we didn't. The route can be steep up and down hill in places and there are a few sets of steps. Also the path especially through wooded areas can be uneven and rough under foot and there are a couple of obstacles to navigate, but then this is a country walk. The paths around Claverton down are very flat and easy under foot. Was nice seeing they were restoring dry stone walls. Definitely wear sensible shoes and take water 👌It's a good route and has stunning views, if you take small children expect to end up carrying them. Probably not suitable for people unsteady on their feet. Definitely worth the experience and we walked back to the city centre along the canal.
