Great experience even when like me you dont know much about the planes on show. Loved the sounds of the aircraft overhead as they were taking off.

Fantastic tour guide, great to see the live aircraft in the hanger up close. Really enjoyed the stories of the aircraft and the pilots who flew them.

The unbelievable dedication in preserving these aircraft, the dedication in keeping glastonbury the memories alive is 1st class. The tour guides keep the tour alive with the stories and knowledge of the individual aircraft and the pilots who flew them. Currently the Lancaster was not there as she is undergoing a major refurbishment. A brilliant few hours.

Located on a live airbase R.A.F Conningsby, there is a shop and you take the guided tour of the hanger where all the BBMF are held.Your guide who has enourmous knowledge and in my case flew the lanc tells you about each aircraft and the history of that plane. You can ask questions and your guide will answer them.Tiolets but make sure you go because the tour is roughly 1hr 30min long. Its disabled friendly and there are a few bombs out side plus you go into the lancaster experiance which is very good.

A most interesting visit to see a number of aeroplanes from the BBMF undergoing maintenance. We were guided by the excellent Ben Bennett who gave a very informative & entertaining description of each aircraft, followed by a short talk on the development and role of the Avro Lancaster (unfortunately the actual aircraft wasn't there at the time) Added spice was the sight of the RAF Typhoons operating from the Coningsby base. Highly recommended.
