The website states it’s a fascinating day out. It is not. You’ll see everything there is to see in half an hour and that’s if you walk very slowly and pause to look at every feature. It’s impresssive - it really is. But don’t go out of your way just to see it. The carpark is very small - just a handful of spaces- But that’s ok because not many people go to it. It’s free to get in but the carpark is a few quid.

Nice old ruin, with extensive grass areas to picnic on and let the kids unwind exploring the site. It's very well kept with the grass and paths manicured. There are information boards and the ruin has the sections labeled. The car park is small and operates a phone £2 parking charge but is free if you are a member.

Beautiful, peaceful setting. The Abbey ruins are worth a visit for a picnic using the carefully placed picnic tables. No toilets though so make sure you 'go' before you get there. Will be visiting again soon.

I enjoyed this immensely! It is such a beautiful place, fairly off the beaten path which makes it more appealing for me as it was not overcrowded. I love how the ruins just stand there in their current simplicity but which carry hints of their past grandiosity. It is a reasonably big area and site, but since there’s only ruins one could easily spend only a couple of minutes walking around. However, if you take your time to read the various information placards (which are clear, informative and concise) and pause in the various sections, trying to picture how it would have been centuries ago, you can get lost wandering around through space (and time) for a good hour (like I did). It is also a very lovely place for a relaxing picnic, especially on a warm day. At least when we went there were NO toilet nor refreshments facilities; car park is fairly small but not many people there when we went and there is a £2 parking fee payable via texting. There is also a cute tiny information centre with some books and postcards (donation box only rather than a cashier).

Loved it. Simply beautiful. Good to see pictures of how it originally looked and being able to compare to what is still there. Such an amazing and peaceful site. Free to visit, just parking to pay for (currently £2 paid via text).
