Mother’s Day saviours! To set the scene: my husband was unwell and didn’t feel up to going out, my toddler (3 in July) had woken up shortly after 6am, though my hubby did get up with him so that I could lie in until 7am when our 9 month old had also woken. By 9am our 9 month old, who luckily is a very chilled out happy boy most of the time, was grumpy and showing signs of needing a sleep. He is exclusively breast fed and is only just starting to learn to use a cup with a straw so I am normally with him all day every day and rarely get one on one time with my toddler other than playing at home whilst the little one naps. My toddler was hyperactive and needed to burn off some energy. I remember going to Beanz Barn with a friend a few months ago and thought it was a great place for toddlers as there is a smaller section for the young ones but even the bigger area has easily climbable sections for active 2yr olds with assistance from parents. So I look it up and see that there are still 4 spaces left for the morning session! I book a spot for my toddler and I, my husband gets our son’s shoes on whilst I go upstairs to feed the baby and lay him down for his nap. Then it is straight in the car for the 25min drive to Beanz Barn. Upon arrival I then find out that in my rush I must have somehow clicked on the evening session and booked that one instead, but I was saved when the staff very kindly said they would transfer my session to the morning (I was ready to pay again if there was still space as it was my mistake). I then spent the next two hours having plenty of fun chasing my son around, seeing him get excited when he did things he thought looked difficult. He also shared some of my cinnamon bun that I got to treat myself whilst he was waiting for his own plate of food which he actually ate most of (other than the sandwich unsurprisingly). I think the space is amazing for young ones, with a little ride on tractor section and plenty of padding making it feel very safe, as well as having some more challenging features for older kids like hanging ropes and climbing walls. So thanks to Beanz Barn for saving my Mother’s Day, giving me a little bit of quality time with my eldest and making the first half of the day that little bit easier and being forgiving of my ‘Mum Brain’ - though I do of course recommend actually checking you’re booking the right thing unlike me, as they could have understandably sent me away!

We have just had our son’s 6th birthday party at Beanz Barn and he had the best time celebrating with his friends! We’d visited a couple of times before and really enjoyed it, so we knew it would be the perfect place for his birthday and it definitely was. The kids had plenty of time to play in the soft play and then enjoyed sitting down together in the party room for finger foods and birthday cake that we supplied. It was lovely seeing them all having so much fun! The facilities were clean and well looked after, the soft play is great, and the staff were friendly, helpful and always on hand if needed. Such a lovely, welcoming place for a children’s party, we’d highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Fantastic spot for the kids, and it cleverly delivers what adults actually want too — proper good coffee, which so many soft play centres get wrong. The snacks, food and drinks felt a cut above the usual “cheap canteen” style you often find elsewhere. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is that the children have to wear just socks in the play area, and the floor right outside is extremely slippery. I saw at least 10 kids slip over. A simple 1-metre-wide non-slip walkway leading out from the soft play would make a huge difference. Overall though, we had a great time and would definitely come back.

We have been here a few times and had my daughter’s birthday party here at the weekend. It’s great especially for her age (4), it’s the perfect size, not huge like some where you lose them or they get stuck up high but not small so they get bored easily, it’s the only softplay that I don’t have to go around everything with her as she’s comfortable climbing it on her own. It’s always clean and tidy and a good range of areas and things to do, we had a mix of children for her party from 3-10 and they all really enjoyed it. The party was well catered for, the children enjoyed the food which was all fresh and included a nice range of sandwiches, pizza, cocktail sausages, crisps and fruit. They have a seperate room for the children to eat for the party and do cake etc but we also had tables reserved for us in the main area so we could watch the children while they played. Highly recommend

We have recently found a gem of a soft play area for our 3 year old granddaughter !Beanzbarn is such a friendly place and so much fun for the toddlers. It is safe, clean and has very friendly staff . Refreshments are superb and any cater for all ages. Toilets and baby change facilities are excellent spotlessly clean. If you haven’t taken your little one to Beanzbarn you are missing out good value for 2hours of fun. Well done Beanzbarn !!!!
