Birkenhead Park is a beautiful and spacious park that has something for everyone. The sheer size of the area makes it perfect for long walks, whether you’re out for a peaceful stroll, jogging, cycling, or walking the dog. It’s a really lively place too — the children’s play area is almost always busy, and there’s plenty of open green space where families and friends can enjoy sports or just relax on the grass. One of the nice touches is the ice cream truck that’s usually parked up, which is always a hit, especially on warmer days. The park also occasionally hosts events, including fairgrounds, which bring a great atmosphere and something a bit different to enjoy. Right in the centre, there’s a lovely café along with clean and convenient toilet facilities, making it easy to spend a few hours there comfortably. Overall, Birkenhead Park is a fantastic green space — well-kept, welcoming, and ideal for all ages.

The park that New York's central park was based on. Lovely nature walk, plenty to see and do. Marauding squirrels! The kids [15 yes] enjoyed it as well and even took turns on the outdoor gym equipment too.
