SkyGlow Music Festival @ Bitts Park. 02/05/26 was nice to see the hot air balloons here and stunt bikers. Plenty of fun fair rides and food/drinks mobile catering units.

Visited on a sunny April day and it was glorious. An array of tulips, a wild garlic walk and all under the watchful eye of the ruins. Only issue was parking, the free car park was closed off, the main one the parking meter wasn't working, the payment online was faulty so ended up having to text and go through the automated system.

Bitts Park is one pf the best places to spent time. The moment you walk in the park feels clean, open and very well maintained. The path ways are smooth and spacious, perfect for waling, running, cycling and even for relaxed stroll along the river. The river side route is specially peaceful and scenic you get a nice mix of greenery, flowing water and plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the view. The gardens are well kept throughout the year and there's always something nice to see no matter the season. The larger lawn areas are great for picnic, playing ball with kids or just relaxing on sunny day. The children area is big highlight. It has plenty of equipment's, feel safe and is big enough to handle busy weekends without feeling overcrowded. Families seems to love it. Another that stands out is that how accessible the park is. It's right next to the city center yet feels calm and away from noise. There's good parking nearby, toilets' not too far. Overall Bitts Park is genuinely relaxing clean and enjoyable place for anyone - families, dog walkers, runners or anyone looking quiet break. One of Carlisle's best public spaces and always worth a visit.

Great car park & there is now a pop up cafe & 🚽. Shame carparks dont do take a ticket pay on leave as hard to judge how long u want. We got our river walk done in 3hrs thankfully. Picture of Eden Viaduct(Waverley viaduct)

It's a nice park and quite a big one. If I am not wrong maybe the biggest. With nice play zone for kids, you have a place to eat and drink coffee you can play tennis you can run, walk your dog, relax on the bench, have a picnic with a nice view During Autumn it's such a beautiful place🤩
