Black Park is such a beautiful place to escape into nature and leave the hustle and bustle of London behind. It feels like you're deep in the countryside, yet it's only about a 20-minute drive from central London. The woodland walks are lovely, the lake views are absolutely stunning, and the whole park has a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. There are two cafés and all the facilities you need, making it the perfect spot to spend a relaxing day outdoors.

Always a nice visit to the park, rain or sunshine. The kids adventure playground is suitable for most ages with lots to do. Toilets are available and also kids school holiday activities as well as weekend events.

I used to come here as a child when it was all a lot less manicured and you could swim in the lake . Move on 50 years it’s still an amazing bit of nature on the edges of London and now you can grab a bite to eat , rent bikes , entertain your kids With nature Talks and walks )we just used to stomp about in the streams in wellies ) and there is enough terrain to find moments of peace . Open for dogs . We used to regularly see Pinewood studio sets out in the park but I gather these are all screened off these days since the advent of mobile phone photography . Hope it’s not another 40 years before I return .

A large and spectacular country park that befits any kind of setting you want - wedding photography, picnics, exercise, leisurely strolls - this is the perfect place for it. Highly reminiscent of the Tall Trees Trail in The New Forest, the soaring trees immediately grab your attention as they're not a sight you see often and they make for some magnificent photo opportunities. A pristine lake makes for a wonderful little jaunt, with benches conveniently placed to take a breath and soak up the day's sunshine. But the real highlight has to be the Rhododendron flower spot in shades of electric pink, soft pink and pearly white. The photo opportunities here are aplenty and to catch this spot on a sunny day is the best at the interplay between the colours and light is a marvel to behold - wedding photography here would make for some unforgettable captures. There's a café area nearby and toilet facilities and of course, parking spaces and plenty of them. Country Parks are a firm favourite of mine and Black Park is certainly up there with the best of them. Highly recommended.

A beautiful and relaxing place away from town noise. A wonderful little lake to walk around, toilets onsite although I didnt use them so cant say how clean they were. You can take your dog with you. Car park a little pricey at £5-£6 depending on length of stay. A nice family outing.
