Great place, the old woodland was very interesting with all the moss, very photogenic! Nice walk on the moor and saw a herd of deer grazing on the hill top.

I visited Blacka Moor Nature Reserve last Sunday after seeing some reviews saying people had spotted deer – and they were right! The walk was lovely, peaceful, and not too difficult. There were some really nice spots for a picnic as well. I was lucky enough to see a few deer too. A great place to enjoy some quiet time in nature!

A beautiful reserve of mixed heath and woodland offering some potential for wildlife observation. Opportunity to see wildlife is only marred by the high volume of runners, mountain bikers and dog walkers.
