The kids loved it. Some useful info for vegans. There were plenty of options. Chine Cafe: vegan sausage and chips / vegan nuggets and chips (with peas or beans) / a couple of plenty based cake options and ice cream options. La Cantina: vegan burgers and hot dogs. There were also vegan Rollover hot dogs near the pirate ships. iScream: 6 vegan flavours (in tubs not cones) Chocabloc: Vegan Magnums Captain Jacks: Vegan Sausage Roll Although Captain Jacks and Rollover Hot Dogs weren't open when we went.
Fabulous day, the grandchildren never tire of it and adults get taken back in time to when Blackgang Chine was their playground. Weather helps, but with running about and climbing, all is great. We went on the water slide 10 times yesterday! And at 61, I’m feeling it this morning! Highly recommend as a must for any driving visitor to the Isle of Wight! Enjoy.
We Visited on Friday 5th June 2026 and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The ride timings provided at the start of the day were different from the timings displayed at the actual rides, causing confusion throughout our visit. We were not informed that many rides would only operate during restricted time slots, and this was not clearly stated on the website when booking. For the amount charged for admission, I expected to be able to access the rides throughout the day. Instead, we spent most of our time simply using the play areas while waiting for rides to open. Had the restricted ride schedule been made clear beforehand, we may have reconsidered our visit. To make matters worse, several staff members were rude and unhelpful when we raised our concerns. A manager asked us to return to reception at the end of our visit to discuss the issues, but after waiting for her, she never arrived. Eventually we gave up and left without any resolution. One of the most concerning parts of our visit was the water ride. During our time there, I observed a very young child riding without an accompanying adult, and I did not see staff carry out a height check before the child boarded. I cannot comment on the park’s internal procedures, but what I observed raised serious health-and-safety concerns for me. Overall, this was a very poor experience and did not represent good value for money. The lack of clear information, limited ride availability and poor customer service left us feeling frustrated and disappointed. I would not recommend visiting based on our experience. Also shutting the park before the correct timing it states it shuts.
The oldest funpark of the uk, which to be honest you can see it is! My children had fun but the conditions of the park are a bit poor in my opinion. Full of cobwebs everywhere, on the attractions themself, on the rack where you stuck trays after lunch, you can really see them everywhere. The attractions for kids are nice, the park is in a hill so quite hard to visit with the pram. Definately overpriced for what is it, since it is 30 per person under a meter, in other uk parks we have paied 45 but the level was completely different, kept way better then this one which is a shame
Blackgang Chine is a fantastic place to visit, especially if you’re travelling with kids. The rides are safe, fun, and well-maintained, making it a great destination for a family day out. The park also offers beautiful scenic views, which add to the overall experience. The food options are good, and there’s enough variety to keep everyone satisfied during your visit. It’s definitely a must-visit if you’re exploring the Isle of Wight with children. However, adults visiting without kids may not find it as engaging. Overall, a delightful and worthwhile experience for families.
