It was a wonderful experience. A real insight to the past.

Absolutely awful experience we went yesterday for the Christmas train ride experience I am currently waiting for email back regarding my complaint I paid alot for an experience for the Santa train including 6 children and 5 adults, it was a gift for us all to do and magical for the children. We arrived everything looked really christmasy in the room waiting to go out on the track for the train We finally got onto the train the train drove up a little and stopped mother Christmas come around had a 2 minute chat with kids and went then straight after Santa come asked them have they been good or naughty Then asked them who should have a gift to the children :/ Then he said come on sing jingle bells they started singing he then walked off and was done, then the train drove to another part to 2 minutes drive staying still for half hour a lady come and offered children gingerbread and drinks for them Then went and then we had a whole half hour doing absolutely nothing for half hour on the train not a person in site only someone collecting the rubbish, absolutely disgusting the price I paid for this is just something else !! I actually cried when I got home I was very upset, my son also has additional needs So they put false information up regarding this event Live entertainment! What telling the children to sing jingle bells ? And they don’t state you sit on the train for hour with absolutely nothing My children was so bored and fed up and don’t know what was going on A few people was saying they are really not happy it was awful and I would definitely avoid so you have no disappoint

I loved every minute if your thinking of going do the whole experience was scary but good fun its better at night but there are a few jump scares but they really go out of there way to make sure you have a good time Freddie your still my favourite thank you

The journey itself is quite short, but the effort and enthusiasm put into the Halloween Specials was memorable for parents, children and (I reckon) the assorted cast of ghostly ghouls on the train. Engines at both ends, coffee and burger cans in the car park, and plenty of appropriate lighting. It must take a lot of people to make it what it is.

Highly recommend, its all run by volunteers who do a fantastic job. All the engines are impeccable, Volunteers are friendly and tje cafe / shop is a bonus.
