This could be a lovely place but it is ruined by irresponsible and selfish dog owners. There is dog poo and used dog poo bags everywhere.

Disappointing how many people don’t seem to be picking up after their dogs so you really have to watch where you walk. Many of the paths are overgrown so you have to walk single file. The boardwalk is cool but obviously not that exciting for dogs because you probably want to keep them on lead at that section to prevent them jumping into the bogs.

Well what a fascinating find I visited in spring So will definitely be visiting again the boardwalk was excellent financed by the Windfarm Plenty of Walks surrounding the Peatland area.. Free parking..

Road up to the car park was terrible, more holes than road. People not picking up after their dogs. Nice walkway and view of the moor. Not clear from the signs there is a footpath beside the road so you could turn the yellow path into a circuit.

Nice place for a good walk, wrap up though it’s freezing when you get up to the Nature Reserve
