I took someone for an afternoon out on the Cream Tea Train. It was absolutely lovely, we both enjoyed it immensely. The whole afternoon was wonderfully interesting and relaxing. The staff were friendly and the conductor was very amusing. The cream tea itself was delicious and the train was clean and well presented. I thoroughly recommend a visit.

A uniquely step and Y shaped railway, but they don't do day tickets, just a return ticket, but none the less, it's still very good and enjoyable, and because it goes slower on the hills, I suppose it felt slightly longer. And a unique shunting at General. Smokes a lot on the hills.

Really enjoyed a day out here, worth doing the full train rides. Little café and gift shop and two great little stations. Had two steam train rides through the countryside. Authentic atmosphere and the volunteers were friendly and helpful.

Was wonderful. Arrived at xar park - full, bad start- not really were immediately directed to parking spaces at the front of the station so actually parked four yards from the entrance. We were early youngest granddaughter still asleep in car, but staff already careful to be sure we weren't going to miss the train. Very efficient getting prebooked tickets (and thankyou Rebecca for your immaculate help with a voucher that the computer system had superseded).. Again all staff (volunteers?) lovely - our Granddaughter had her picture taken with the stationmaster. She was very impressed with the steam engine, bigger than the one's she's seen before at Lappa Valley All in all such a very good day, thanks to all concerned

A thoroughly enjoyable day out had by all of us at Carbis Bay Scouts for the 2025 Santa steam special. The big man was bang on and great engagement with all of our young people aged 8 to 14. The platform staff were happy, enthusiastic and helpful, the cafe ladies served great coffee when leaders needed it most and the trains looked great. Special BZ to driver Will Marshall for being such a happy, kind and all around good guy. Also we extend our heartfelt thanks to all the drivers, firemen, guards, conductors, signalmen and volunteers for bailing us out when we needed it. Thank you. Carbis Bay Scout Group.
