This was ok. My son is really into visiting museums and have been all over, however hadnt visited the one in our own home town. He was left feeling quite bored after our trip unfortunately. Some facts and history we found interesting, but not really enough to keep a child interacted for the whole visit. No staff around to explain in more detail, only 2 staff members at the front desk (who seemed polite). We got round very quickly, it was free entry which of course is a bonus. However I do worry what the future looks like for this museum. Considering all the history that boston has, I feel there could be more passion put into this and it could be so much more.

Interesting building telling the history of Boston which at one time was for a while the main port in England and part of the Hanseatic League. The Guildhall has cells which housed some Puritans that had tried to flee England in 1607 but were betrayed by the ships captain. It tells of the towns famous people. There is a gift shop and toilets. It is free to enter and well worth a visit.

This museum is so interesting and also free! While we were visiting the area, we were curious to learn more about the city of Boston and also its linked with the city in Massachussetts in the US. Boston Guildhall is a museum where you can learn about both of the cities and the linked between the two. You can even see some historical objects and learn interesting facts. It's really the best thing to do in Boston!

This place is like a Tardis. As well as being home to the tourist information centre, and museum it is a stunning historical building in its own right. Built in the 1390, when Boston as a trading power was second only to London. Stunning features, especially the upstairs room. Entrance is free and well worth the visit.
