Fantastic family day out and incredibly good value for money! Only 6.50 per car no individual entry tickets. The food at the new cafe was delicious, perfectly cooked, great quality and I was surprised at how reasonably priced it was! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Beautiful trails to walk, lovely friendly animals to pet and feed and we enjoyed going in the pen with the goats too. Great play area for kids and you can bring your dog along too! Will definitely visit again.
Visited with friends and our little ones, on Easter weekend. Children aged 2-10 all loved it. Had a decent walk around the park, saw and fed lots of animals, played on playground, go-karts (small charge for this), had a bite (of wild boar!!) to eat.. whilst the park was super busy, we still parked up fine and it didnt feel TOO busy/crowded. Friendly staff dotted about, only downside for us was that many of the paths weren't pram friendly, but there are still being changes made before reopen next month. Super helpful having one price per car! Thank you and we'll be back! 😀
I wouldn't recommend going now, very disappointed as they have got rid of most of it now, the main barn and the area you can walk through and feed the goats are gone, it seems they are slowly turning it into a caravan park and wedding venue as it is more profitable, and getting rid of the animals, its such a shame it used to be so much better we have been coming for a few years now, but its fast becoming a waste of time and money compared with other petting zoos, also 8 quid for a little box of pie and peas is ridiculous, the staff were all very nice though thats the only good thing I can say about the place. Also now the barn is gone there is no were to go when its chucking it down accept for the cafe which only has a small dining area so of its busy your not getting in, if you have a baby to feed your going back to your car unfortunately, also the a good part of the playpark has been taken away maybe even half of it so to me overall it looks like they are phasing out the petting zoo now, who knows, time will tell, but me and my family won't be coming back.
When our eldest was younger we use to bring him to the wild boar park and have since returned with our youngest. The outdoor play area is great, lots of different, swings, slides, climbing frames and zip wires for different ages. There's a selection of animals to view such as Meerkats, Ducks, Hens, Goats, Llamas and Emu's and further round the Wild Boars of course! There's an indoor play barn with shaded seating, play kitchen and sand, a climbing rope, slide and basketball set with some play tractors. It's always great of course to purchase a tractor barrel ride, it's a highlight for the young ones and as a family we all go on the tractor ride to view the water buffalo and horses, although you can go on the adventure walk to see these. There are plenty of outdoor seating and you can bring a picnic. They did have a street food vendor onsite and the food smells were delicious but we brought our own food (picnic). We did sample the ice-cream from the shop, a bit pricey at £3 for one small scoop but it was delicious, I tried the rum and raisin. It's not a huge site but it's enough for upto 10 year olds to walk round and have fun!
