A wonderful spot to go for a walk and get away from it all. If you're looking for a quiet day/afternoon activity, this is the place to come. You can really disconnect from the hubub of life and get lost in nature. Fret not however for getting actually lost, despite being such a big site, you easily come across the wide rides which you can easily follow when returning back to the carpark. Even if the carpark looks well populated, once you're in the woods, you may genuinely not see anyone else from one hour to another (including at weekends/during holidays). 100% recommend, especially for a cute picnic spot. And keep an eye out for the butterflies - it feels like the disconnected quiet makes spotting some of the rarer varieties even more magical.

A lovely old wood. Ideal for walking the dogs. A dlight note of caution, there is no satellite signal in the forest so you phone wont be able to tell you where you are. Look and watch for the sun to do a circular route

Beautiful place. Water-logged due to the recent heavy rainfall, so be sure to bring your wellies! Small car park but it's free and we were able to find a space. A great place to get some fresh air whilst walking the dog. 🐕

Our local Mini Thetford forest, enjoyable peaceful walks. Many paths and routes to choose from. Information centre with maps and a carpark. Winter months wear wellies or boots!

A small car park but it is however, currently free. A nice walk around the woods, with path choices to make it as long or short as you wish. The paths are easy to walk around and arnt hard on your feet. We did around a third of it and our walk was 40 minutes. Easily found off of the main road but do drive slowly as the entrance is on a bend.. Dogs allowed. No toilets, or eating facilities here.
