Cool toys! Maybe, even better for adults than for children. The place is packed with vintage scale models of cars, trains, planes as well as teddy bears etc. It feels a bit overpacked for the space but you don’t have to spend the whole day there. Pick what you are interested in and come back later with the same ticket. Price of entry was 10 pounds on 05.2026.

Must-see for toy lovers and collectors. It’s a fusion of Brighton’s and toy brand’s histories and the exhibits were thoughtful—you could feel the passion and love for miniatures and toys and train models. As someone who’s an avid miniature collector, this was truly worth putting in our Brighton itinerary.

I had a wonderful time at the museum. It may be small, but it offers a wide variety of toys and models, and I could easily spend the entire day there. The staff were very kind and helpful as well.

This was a phenomenal museum to visit, featuring a wide variety of models and toys! The trains with their carriages are detailed and shown on moving railways, world's first electric railway is appropriately modeled in Brighton and there is even a moving cliff tramway. Bus, tram and car models are cute especially the vehicles where people are sat in the seats together! Model houses have been put together and the Royal Pavilion is handcrafted, Meccano is a classic addition here too. Puppets are lovely to see in different settings and building sets have been deployed in the museum, plane and ship models decorate across the ceiling! Board games and toys give a glimpse into the past, demonstrating the design of items played with back then and the difference in this style of games to the present day.

A great collection of trains, lego, models, Meccano, and other “pre-digital” toys. Lots to see, read, and explore. The highlight is definitely the info. attached to many of the display cases plus the model railways, featuring local landmarks like the Long Man of Wilmington. They have a scale model of the Hastings East Cliff Funicular too. A few buttons for little people to press on the way round.
