Spacious & tranquil park with lots of toys. Our kids (8 & 11) wanted adventure. They loved the hanging/spinning whatchamacallit, although they needed a bit of a boost to get up. TBH, the grownups loved it too. The zip line is long. The tall slide in other posts was removed as of Apr '26
decent park, at the back of the museum.. no vehicular access though so a 10 minute walk from the public car parks... a small outdoor fitness area which includes some narrow, but high bars...
What a lovely park! Certainly the best in the area, great facilities, well kept, plenty of benches, toilets were immaculate. With the added bonus of wonderful views, we took a picnic and a couple of hours flew by. Would highly recommend
1st time visit , will be going back , nice park plenty of space , toddlers area , swings , slide , rock climbing wall for older ones , zip wire , footy pitch with goals, basketball court , outside gym . Plenty of benches an seating areas for picnics , toilets on site too. Small alley way from town leads to park , obviously town is right there too so you can mooch round to kill more time. Only issue was parking , car parks are available but none that close and was busy when i visited even on a weekday. Some on street parking but its a lottery
Spacious, clean, well kept play ground with lots of activities for kids and space for picnics. Also has a basketball court and a football pitch. Beautiful surroundings. Toilets are very well kept (my wife said 'pristine'), and won a 'loo of the year' award in 2016.
