Lovely place to visit. Car park is cheap and admission is free. The cafe has a nice selection and is well priced - we paid £5 for 4 drinks. There are different colour coded walking paths to take depending on how far you want to go. There are signs along the paths to guide you. We did miss a sign and got lost, but it wasn't too difficult to retrace our steps and get back on the right track. It's well with a visit.

Great nature walk for all ages. Accessible for prams down to and around the lake (we have ventured further before in the fields but can be tricky). Lots of spaces to have a picnic, either on a bench or grassed area. Really fun for the little ones to explore, including the play park. Haven't had food here for a while but was a good selection when we did. Ice creams & hot drinks are reasonably priced. It is dog friendly (on lead). Car park is maybe £4ish for the day on a weekend, so again, very reasonable. Easily accessible toilets by the car park.

Brilliant place! great for a little wander around the lake and play in the park. The stream is great fun to jump over and although lots of the steep banks are now fenced off, there is still one that provides a climbing challenge for older children. There are things to look at/read dotted around and if you take paper and a crayons you can do rubbings in various places. The gardens are very well kept and there wasn't any rubbish. The parking is expensive but it's understandable for the upkeep of the park. the loos are free and the cafe is very reasonably priced...I can't remember the last time we had a cornetto type ice cream for £1 each! The free biscuit when you say the word written on the board is a lovely touch!
