Really nice little wildlife spot. I would emphasise the fact it's a wildlife spot. We saw so much on our little walk. Please keep dogs close to you and those that don't recall on leads. 🐶🩷

Calm and relaxing place for a walk with plenty to see. Bats come out at night too, if you're lucky 🦇

Beautiful woodland walk with so much history and the most amazing carvings,really is pretty. There is no car parks for this woodland and there are three entrances hidden within the village. There are one or two places to park within the village just be respectful of residents are businesses. No toilets but shops for drinks etc within the village. The walk is roughly 2 miles as a loop or out and back.

What was once a neglected patch of overgrown wasteland surrounding an abandoned mining works, has been revitalised and after much hard work and effort, now offers a beautiful little slice of fantastic Welsh countryside. The many walkways through have been cleared and large amounts of nuisance growth have been removed from the woodland, leaving great views and pleasant walks for everyone. There's well placed information boards at key stages and the main footpath has been re-established, along with focal points on the walk highlighting such features as; The Bluebell Field, The Orchard, The Old Oak and The Pond, to name but a few. This is an excellent example of how good a well maintained woodland can look, with the right care and attention. I'd definitely recommend a walk through any time.

Nice walk in the Wood looking for fungi. Nice and quiet, plenty of benches scattered about if a rest is needed. Not easy to find if you don't know where it is, behind a street of houses on the main road, little path to the start.
