We take our grandson's dog for a run.it is a large area so she enjoys herself. We also find it a pleasure to stroll around. We then go and have a coffee and cake at the cafe
Honestly the kids play area is in need of a major overhaul its has swings both large and small and usable climbing frame, a zip wire which has been partially repaired, otherwise its a mound of concrete covered in rubber which is wearing away, a medium climbing frame thats falling apart, a trampoline which always has barriers around it, an area which is now just fencing seesaw removed and a merry go round which doesnt actually go round it just squeals, not to mention the broken picnic benches, its about time the council invested and made it great again to go with the rest of the park
Great place to visit with children lots of open space and also a good park for them to get tired running around in! There are also tennis courts and park exercise machines that can be used.
Free parking, coffee shop, toilets, playground and adult gym equipment, tennis courts, basketball court, loads of benches and picnic tables dotted around the perimeter. What more could you possibly want from a local park?! (Oh, and a view of the sea if you're towards the northern end)
Great park for dog walking & families however spolit by the use of team games such as football or rugby. Both parties leave too much rubbish, drink bottles & the tape that holds their socks up. Particularly bad when tournaments are on as too many cars on the grass driving too quickly.
