Fabulous site, friendly staff, lots of walks nearby for the dogs and the added bonus of steam trains passing within a few metres. Hop on board at the station adjacent to the site. All in all a perfect place. Absolutely love it.

Lovely park near the East Lancs Railway. Lovely walks along the River Irwell great field . Great little cafe with water bowls for dogs should you need it. Playground for younger children. Watch the trains going along on the railway Highly recommended.

Still more to do here but over the years I have been visiting the improvements are excellent. Much improved parking and walk ways making a visit far easier, especially especially with children as the cobbled road keeps car speeds lower. The cafe is superb with a great menu and ice cream choice at the outside hatch is always tempting.A lot has been achieved and with a few more improvements maybe more litter bins and colourful planting would make this place second to none.

Lovely area to stay. Slightly pricey compared to others but very clean. Walks in this area are outstanding and a nice pub with great food

Was looking for a nice place for a walk when visiting Bury area. Easy to find, plenty of parking and well marked walking area. Nice walk along river. Lots of dog walkers in the open areas. Art installations here and there. there is a pub and a small ice cream shop/cafe. Had take away from the cafe and ate at one of the many picnic tables. Worth a visit.
