An Eye catching and worth visiting site specifically for sunset. You can find parking easily. You can visit with your family and friends. You can see landscape and towns from the top.
Burton Dassett Hills is honestly one of those places that sneaks up on you. You drive up expecting just a hill, then bam — massive views all the way to Birmingham on a clear day. The walk up is easy enough, the grass is perfect for a picnic, and the little windmills at the top make it feel almost magical. Took my camera and stayed way longer than planned. Perfect spot if you need fresh air without driving miles. 5/5 would go back tomorrow.
Nice place to come for fresh air & scenery. There is this stone construction at the very top, where you can see for miles in every direction. Lovely English countryside, rolling fields & steaples in the distance. There are picnic tables, so remember to bring a picnic. Just remember and pay for your parking, otherwise you'll get a hickey ticket thru your door.
Lovely spot with full 360° views. It gets busy and parking can be a bit of a mission, but you’ll survive. Great for walking, relaxing, dating, exploring, or just enjoying nature. Families, friends, kids, dogs - even aliens - will love it. Definitely worth visiting on a sunny day.
Excellent country park with easy access, extensive views and a striking landscape courtesy of the site's history of ironstone quarrying. The park's uneven ground is largely covered with grass, but traces of the Jurassic rock once extensively quarried in this area can still be seen. Well surfaced paths are ideal for dog walking, and there are plenty of parking areas around the park, with an all day charge of £3.30 (at the time of visiting). The Beacon, a distinctive tower dating back to medieval times, is a very photogenic landmark and a great spot from which to witness stunning sunsets. It was believed to have been used as a windmill and lookout tower through its history. Facilities are very well maintained, with plenty of picnic tables around the park, toilets and information boards. The park made an excellent rest stop while travelling north on the M40, situated just a few minutes drive from the nearest motorway exit.
