Bury Knowle Park is a peaceful and well-maintained green space in Oxford, perfect for a relaxing walk or a family outing. The park has wide open lawns, mature trees, colourful seasonal flowers, and plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the surroundings. There’s a good children’s playground, tennis courts, and open areas for picnics or casual sports. The park is clean, feels safe, and has a calm atmosphere despite being close to the city. It’s also a great spot for photography, especially during spring and autumn when the trees and gardens are at their best. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind, spend time with family, or enjoy nature, Bury Knowle Park is a lovely local park that’s well worth a visit.

Lovely safe park. Great for families, large play area, payable tennis courts, table tennis, nice cafe with indoor/outdoor seating. Easy to walk around, get a few steps in. Running and walking groups meet here. Library is situated in the park. Toilets at Headington end of park but need an upgrade much like the ones in the city centre. Great place to see a special moon at night as benches close to entrance.

There is a very well equipped children’s play area here with sandpit, zip line and lot of climbing things. The park has lots of benches and wooden sculptures. The wooden carvings have seen better days and could do with replacing. Great place to bring the kids. There’s a basketball hoop here too.

We enjoyed the park tremendously. There was even a ping pong board or two with bat's and balls ! free to use Lots of activities things to climb on and some interesting but weathered wooden sculptures related to C.s Lewis's The Lion witch and the wardrobe. Toilets were locked at the park, but there is a lovely fish and chip shop over the road to eat drink etc. Lots of greenery and old trees good for a walk as well as playtime.

Lovely little place in the middle of Headington, Oxford!! Who would have thought?! Tucked away just out of sight on London Road- busy road with loads of shops. We’re dog sitting so this was one to try. Quiet busy but big enough to accommodate many picnickers! Quite a a few dogs running about, so had to be careful with picnicking on the grass. Good things to look at and read. Park for all ages, young and old. Would recommend it for both- picnicking and dog walking, with or without a dog! Maybe grab a few things from the shops near by and have a quick lunch? Easily spend a couple of hours contemplating life and watching the world go by! Worth a visit, definitely!
