Bit of a long way round to get in using a wheelchair, but definitely worth it. Beautiful building with really interesting information. Displays quite multi-sensory and the hot air balloon ride was excellent :) Fairly easy to get round, once you have got off the very thick matting in the hall that’s a bit tricky. Changing Places Facility nearby at the pavilion. Staff very friendly and helpful and made it even more accessible. Excellent value for money with the carer ticket, we appreciate this. We will definitely visit again.

We had a great time at the Buxton experience. We didnt know too much about the history of Buxton before the visit but learnt a lot thanks to the amazing staff. Joanne and Phillip were very knowledgeable and great guides for our visit. Every staff member we spoke to was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it to other visitors.

This is a very good visitor centre oposite a Victorian hotel. When entering the visitor centre there was lots of merchandise that was reasonably priced we didn't buy any merchandise but I played an old piano which was good. It also was not that busy which I liked.

I just called into the visitor centre in the free bit where there is a gift shop, leaflets of things to do in the local area and a spring where you can get free water (you can buy bottles to fill up, or in my case I just used my hand to get some water!) Theres also an old well outside where you can also fill up bottles with water (and local people were seen frequently filling up big containers with the water). We spoke to one of the staff about why the water was warm and he gave us a detailed explanation alongside a bit of history and information about the water. There is a tour you can book on, however we only had the day here and had already booked on a show so didn't really have time to do a tour too. A great place to visit (and get some Buxton spring water!)
