Visited on a Wednesday and parked in an almost empty car park. There's half an hour free parking but I did two hours and paid £3. Amazing experience! The birds were visible for a good hour before gliding on the thermals. The feed was exactly on time and just phenomenal to watch. I'm usually thrilled to see one bird of prey but hundreds in one spot?!? 😮 It was great to see the colours and detail of them as you only really see them above you. Absolute gem. A must see.

Beautiful open space It’s a shame the visitor centre isn’t open but there is a coffee van with excellent staff Ava coffees and clean nice toilets. The routes are clearly marked and we spent 4 hits exploring We love it here 😀

Gorgeous place. Excellent for disabled people. Easy to use wheelchair. Great to see the daily kites feeding time. Swooping in for food. Great for photography. Mountain bike trails. Park. Café. Lots of parking

We visited the Kite Feeding station. Amazing place surrounded by hills with a lake in the middle. Easy to walk around. Many other walks available depending on your fitness levels. A wonderful sight to watch a load of kites descend onto the food being thrown onto the ground. Fed everyday at 2 pm at this site. Well worth a visit.

We had a fantastic day out at Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre — it’s an absolute hidden gem in Mid Wales. The scenery is simply breathtaking, with rolling hills, peaceful lakes, and stunning viewpoints like the Dyffryn Melindwr Valley that really take your breath away. The walking trails are well maintained and clearly signposted, making it perfect whether you want a gentle stroll or a longer hike through beautiful countryside. One of the real highlights is the famous red kite feeding — seeing these incredible birds soaring overhead is something special and not to be missed. There’s a real sense of tranquillity throughout the whole area, making it the perfect place to switch off and enjoy nature. The facilities are excellent too, with good parking, accessible paths, and plenty of information boards that make the visit both enjoyable and educational. Overall, this is a must-visit if you’re anywhere near Aberystwyth. Whether you’re into walking, wildlife, or just want a peaceful day out with amazing views, Bwlch Nant yr Arian delivers on every level. We’ll definitely be coming back!
