Explore a historic London park featuring a 155ft Grade II* listed Clock Tower, children's play area, sports facilities, café and beautiful natural spaces perfect for families.

Caledonian Park is a popular historic green space in North London, anchored by its iconic 155ft (47.5m) high Grade II* listed Clock Tower built in 1853. The park has been revitalised through Heritage Lottery Fund support, securing the future of this architectural landmark and enhancing visitor experiences. Families can enjoy a dedicated children's play area suitable for ages 3-12, alongside extensive sports facilities including a PlayZone for football, basketball, netball and cricket, free outdoor gym equipment, and table tennis tables. The large grass open spaces are ideal for ball games and informal sports activities. Beyond recreational facilities, the park offers natural attractions including semi-mature woodland areas, a wildlife pond, short and long grass meadows, a community orchard, and community gardens. These features make it a site of Borough Grade 1 importance for nature conservation, allowing families to explore wildlife and green spaces. On-site amenities include a café and toilets for visitor convenience. The park is easily accessible by public transport via nearby tube and overground stations, with disabled parking and accessibility information available. It's a versatile destination suitable for active play, nature discovery, and relaxation across all family ages.

We regularly visit this place, as our daughter’s flat is in the vicinity and we can view park and tower right from the balcony. This year, however due to climate change impact, and very very hot summers in London, the whole park has turned brown instead of usual green grounds. Due to this the activities during the day have reduced. There is an open gym, open table tennis and an area for children to play with outdoor swings, etc. The historical clock tower is on one side of the park. This park was in earlier days known as Copenhagen park and was later on famous throughout the London (may be whole of UK), as the market place for trading animals and selling meat. One of the beautiful places in London to visit.

It's a open park. Good to do a picnic, reading or simply take a rest time.

It s a nice local park, has a nice square of lawn in the middle, a little cafe, a playground, some exercise equipment, a couple of ping pong tables and a cute clock tower, mechanism of which was said yo have been used as a prototype for big ben.

Barbecues are not allowed in this lovely park with toilets, play area, gardens, field and woodland walks (including some wheelchair-accessible pathways). Enjoy lovely food at the cafe, a game of table-tennis on the two outdoor ping-pong tables, or get fit at the friendly outdoor gym. See if you can spot wildlife in the nature pond, or watch the birds.
