A wonderful countryside escape. The park is beautiful and offers something for everyone — whether it’s a picnic, a walk, or a run. It’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature, with playgrounds for children as well.

The visitors centre was our sat nav destination. It serves coffee,cake, crisps,ice cream,sausage rolls etc etc...Inside seating cramped feeling,outside seating not the cleanest area. But you don't need the cafe...pack a picnic and just walk,cycle in any direction there are trails to follow if you wish or just go wherever you please. Our Grandbabies ended up in dark woods with scary monsters (Grumpa hiding behind a tree) and up any climbable tree they could. Enjoyed a good 2 and a half hours there...next time we will take a picnic.

Lovely area for hiking with the dog. Popular area with playarea, cafe and loos. I would recommend trying out different parking areas for the chance to see all the sights. Sadly I missed the waterfall that I came to see as it must be in a different area. Nice for a walk in nature.

Beautiful countryside. Lots of paths to explore the area. Nice cafe. Cheap parking. Friendly and helpful staff in the visitor's centre. Looking forward to going again

Visited here for the Saturday morning 9am parkrun. Plenty of carparking, albeit roadside if arriving a little late. A really nice event running tracks through the trees, a few small hills but some wide paths and good underfoot. Trial shoes were fine, but road shoes would have worked in the dry. Friendly staff and marshalls along the way.
