Visit websiteView menuFantastic day out for both little and big kids! There is so much to see and do, from the sheep racing and ferret racing to the educational talks throughout the day. It's a real working farm with beautiful, well-looked-after animals, including adorable piglets and magnificent Shire horses. The tractor ride was a great addition and a hit with everyone. There is also a lovely restaurant and shop on site, making it easy to spend the whole day there. Every member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the farm and its animals. There is plenty to keep them going with 3/4 play areas and places to eat and have a picnic! A brilliant family day out that we would highly recommend!
Second time having visited after an eight year lapse. The farm is just bigger and better than last time, and even then it was good. In addition to great exposure to the traditional farm animals, there is a well stocked farm shop, restaurants and eateries and ice cream galore (great for a sunny day like when we visited). There is also the mammals house and reptile house. Sheep racing and tractor rides. A number of educational information posts dotted throughout that aid understanding of how important British farming is. Ample car parking with an option to pay online when booking your tickets. Animal feed is plenty for £1 per portion. Great for families as it was for ours but great for any demographic also.
Lovely day to visit weekdays are lower footfall we got around all the animals. There’s talks, ferret and sheep racing during the week all earlier in the day for a May weekday visit. Nice cafe stop and ice cream. There’s multiple places to eat or get a snack. Visited the shop lots of great local produce. The last picture of the sheep racing is from summer separate visit. We live close and it’s a regular place we visit throughout the year.
My first visit to Cannon Hall Farm and we had such a lovely day! We visited as a group of seven to celebrate my niece's 3rd birthday. The children, teenager and adults all loved seeing all the animals and visiting in May meant we got to see lots of the new farm babies! My teenage daughter adores highland cows and has wanted to see them in real life for a long time so was absolutely thrilled to see so many! There were plenty of play areas for the children to enjoy and they particularly enjoyed the tunnels. We took a picnic with us and there are plenty of places to sit and eat along with several options to buy food. The farm shop on site is fabulous with a huge range of products. I'm sure we'll be visiting again at some point.
Brilliant day out. Some great experiences and lots to see. We booked online which was easy enough pre-paid the parking, the cameras recognise your reg so when we got there a guy welcomed us, super friendly and showed us where to park. Then a short walk to the farm. The first things you see are the dog friendly cafe and the pub and restaurant. All fantastic, nice to have such good amenities on the farm. Food was very nice. There’s plenty to explore on the farm, with all the different animals. The mammal and reptile areas. Some wonderful animals. The leaf cutter ants are cool. There’s some great play parks and the tunnel maze was fun. All in all fantastic. Just wish there was bit more hand on with some of the animals.
