Xmas is here, the house is decorated very tastefully whilst still retaining the historical significance of the hall. Free to enter and parking locally is very reasonable. A great afternoon for all the family, with staff on hand to share lots of interesting facts.

We go for walks around the gardens all the time we love it here so much!! There is parking at the park which is cheap or you can park in the village for free and walk in. The museum is free and has wonderful exhibitions on there. I LOVED the costume exhibition!!

What a fabulous day out! Beautiful gardens and scenery, with plenty of good paths for a long, or short, walk. Our dogs also loved it. Such a surprise to find morris dancers and a lovely artisan market. Great atmosphere, good weather helping with that probably. Next time I will explore the Hall itself too.

Absolutely lovely place for a nice morning out! We live close but have never actually visited the museum, it’s a free museum, and it’s really good - full of interesting facts, and well dressed rooms, staff are also incredibly friendly. The gardens, especially the walled ones, are so beautiful and relaxing. Parking is cheap at £1 for 2 hours and there’s plenty of it as long as you are there early enough. There is also a free public toilet attached to the cafe at The Pavilion.
