My wife's favourite film of all time is Brief Encounter (David Lean 1945) it was filmed largely in Carnforth Station and in the Heritage Centre the film is screened the whole time. There is also a lot of content about the 1940s as well as lots of information about trains and railways.

It looked nice but I was going 90 mph in an Avanti, I think there were bricks possibly a clock but the window was dirty as usual 🤔

We didn't really know what to expect at this heritage centre when we arrived. We were met by a very friendly knowledgeable man called Tony who explained what to expect and the very reasonable £2.50 entrance fee. We found very interesting and nostalgic bringing back long forgotten memories. The cafe attached was also a great experience with friendly staff.
