Lovely park. Well maintained. Events are fantastic value for the kids. Plants are a great price. Cake and coffee for £1 each is fantastic value. Well done everyone who makes this happen. 🙌👏

On a day trip to New Lanark we came across Castlebank Park, an excellent place to stop for a while and chill out, the park is well looked after with a large car park and picnic area. Walking through the park there is a childrens play area near to Castlebank House, and to the front of the house are the terraced gardens and the William Wallace Memorial rose garden. The statue in the garden has been carved from a tree using a chain saw and has to be seen to show how good it is. A short walk along is the Fairy Dell which is also worth seeing for all the carvings in the fallen trees. The Castlebank Horticultural Centre is open most days and worth a visit. There are walks that lead down to the Clyde, a good runout for dogs and people alike. Our visit was before spring but we would imagine the park would look quite spectacular when everything is in bloom. Steve and Jenny.

Would highly recommend going to this park, unfortunately being our 1st visit and not knowing this park our dog, who absolutely loves the country decided to go onto ice and and this cracked he was at least 12 foot or more away from us, after struggling to get out unfortunately couldn't, I called for emergency services who were amazing, in the split of a second my partner couldn't leave our dog as he started to get tired and exhausted and distressed, so he jumped in found a 4x4 post but had to break the ice to reach our dog, after this truly frightening ordeal, both thank God both were fine and live to tell the tail as was very cold, services obviously stated the obvious Not to go in but they weren't needed in the end, I wasn't going to do this review but, you know your animal, we have never had to put a lead on our dog, but lesson learnt, Never jump in, and as much as you know your Dog, first time in 10yrs this has happened, both may I add are fine, and would still definitely recommend, maybe we will keep to good weather ourselves

Great town park with lots of interesting things to see and very good for children. Beautiful Wallace Rose Garden, good play area and lots of space to enjoy. Nice views and also boasts a horticultural centre where plants can be purchased. Very knowledgable staff who can advise on plants. Fairy Dell with seating area. Really good to have the parking area and picnic site. Dinosaur display on at present, some other displays can also be seen in the town centre. Well kept, clean park with something for everyone.
