Fantastic leisure centre for the local community. Friendly, helpful staff. Wide range of memberships and activities available. Plus, use of other centres within the Hyndburn. Highly recommend a visit to check it out.

The pool was nice and warm… HOWEVER upon leaving the pool, after taking my daughter to her lesson, she needed to pick her certificate up for passing a tier. We were left waiting ages at the reception and eventually a gym instructor woman with brownish hair sauntered out. The whole time she was nattering to some other colleague; myself and my EIGHT year old were horrified when she shouted out expletive language!! She should be made to apologise to my child for what she did!! The pool is cold too, so are the changing rooms. Yet they charge enough. You’d think with the amount of money that was spent on it they’d have the system whereby you get longer with the running water without having to constantly press the button!!

For a new facility the hygiene standards are poor, staff fail to enforce basic regulations. Very few over shoes worn by non swimmers. Cubicles rarely checked and cleaned, lockers not checked for left items, leaving them out of service. Could be so much better with a bit of controlled management.

I didn’t have a positive experience at this gym. Some areas — particularly the swimming facilities — did not meet the level of cleanliness I would expect. I also experienced a number of uncomfortable interactions with staff. On one occasion, there was an issue with my membership not being recognised on arrival, which I found quite embarrassing. At other times, I felt there was a lack of professionalism and what I perceived as inappropriate attention, which made me feel uneasy. Overall, I didn’t feel welcomed or comfortable during my visits I come to manage my moods and stabilize my day in visiting 18 gyms ive never had an experience

I’ve only used the gym so far, but I’m thoroughly enjoying it. The atmosphere here is so much friendlier than at other gyms I’ve been to, no posing in front of mirrors, no slamming weights, and none of that constant filming you see elsewhere. It’s refreshing to be able to just focus on my workout in a place that feels safe, welcoming, and relaxed. The view over the field is a lovely touch too. Although the landscaping isn’t quite finished yet (most likely due to the wet weather), it already shows a lot of promise. The café offers a great selection of food and drinks. When I visited, there was one lovely lady handling everything — taking orders, preparing meals, and delivering them. Despite being run off her feet, she stayed cheerful and friendly throughout. I know it’s still early days and no business wants staff standing around, but I do hope she gets some help soon as I can see this place getting busy fast. Overall, I’m really impressed so far. I’m looking forward to trying out the rest of the facilities and wish the team every success moving forward.
