I took a walk through Cathnor Park in Shepherd’s Bush recently, and it’s a perfect example of a "hidden-in-plain-sight" London green space. It’s tucked away behind the Victorian terraces between Goldhawk Road and Uxbridge Road, and if you didn't know the gated entrances were there, you’d walk right past it. The park has a really intimate, almost "secret garden" feel. The standout feature for me is the landscaping—it’s much more varied than your standard flat patch of grass. There are these lovely, slightly hilly sections and winding paths that make the space feel a lot larger than it actually is. The mature trees provide a great canopy, making it a brilliant spot to hide away with a book on a hot afternoon. It’s a very functional park for the local community, too. The sports area and the modern children's playground are well-segregated from the quieter "nature" zones, so you don't feel like you're sitting in the middle of a football match while you're trying to relax. It’s noticeably clean and well-loved by the local residents, and it has a peaceful, safe atmosphere that’s a welcome break from the relentless energy of Shepherd's Bush Market just a few minutes away.

Small local park, in that it’s generally more for the local community than people coming from afar, like Hyde park is etc. Has a playground and a more adult adventure esq structure. The park is actually an old burial pit that sunk under the great weight of a local plague, it was then used as an aquifer, that’s why it’s a bowl/recess. Very interesting history that some would like to keep quiet. Has no toilets, which considering it has a playground is bad, but then again it’s more of a local park.

Although Cathnor Park is close to local schools, it is a small green space. Has a play area that is for families with toddlers. In the summertime there are sunbathers. Best to visit after school hours!

Small playground is fine but overcrowded after school. The park really needs toilets/washroom. Too many dogs in such a small space, children can't go and play on the wooden structures but the playground is ok for small kids.

Very nice place for toddlers. Small slides and swings. And just next to it there is a Cathnor children centre and big climbibg construction for bigger kids. Sometimes just get too crowded when all beneficial mommy's are thinking that park belongs only to themand they bring half of their houses in there.
