A lovely cafe. The train ride is great. The play park was enjoyed by our 2 year old. There weren't any strawberries available, so they picked some raspberries. We had a lovely afternoon.

I popped over from Leeds today just to visit and was very pleasantly surprised, I can understand why it was so busy. A lovely place with lots for kids to do, a wonderful little train, dog park, a farm shop full of (slightly expensive) local produce and the great cafe. The coffee was excellent, the "chunky sausage sandwich" was slightly bereft of seasoning but very pleasant (some of the other sausages in the shop sounded much more exciting) and service good. It's slightly irritating to have to walk right around the building if you're sat outside as the doors are out of bounds to customers (but not staff?) but that's a minor gripe and probably only an issue when it's draughty. Lots of parking and easy to find, probably not quite worthy of the 120 mile round trip considering options closer to home but definitely somewhere to consider if you're in the area.

Great place to stop, especially for a family. They have plants, miniature railway, playground with a little food van which does breakfast rolls and pizza later on. We had a wander around the farm shop, we couldn't buy too much unfortunately as we are staying in a hotel. The meat looks lovely, so much choice. Lots of baked goods too, I brought a cherry and apricot flapjack. We decided to have brunch so we went to the cafe, they were busy inside so we had a choice to sit outside (a little windy summers day) or wait for a table to come free. We were pressed for time so we decided to brave the wind. It was quick service, again a good choice of food. I had a fab hot chocolate and the hot buttery cinnamon toast, I'll be honest I wasn't expecting much. When it came out It looked so good, two doorstop sized multi grain toast covered in a sweet cinnamon butter. It was delicious, even my other half who wouldn't go near multi grain bread said he would have eaten that. It's definitely for someone with a sweet tooth. My other half had the lighter breakfast which he enjoyed, bacon was his favourite. I would have loved to come back for a Sunday roast or a pizza but I'm at the end of my holiday now so will save it in my maps for next time.

Fabulous cafe and shop, we have sampled the wonderful wares here many times, as well as home baked goods and cakes the shop boasts local honey, jam, mayonnaise, chutneys, cheeses and a butchers and bakery in store. They also have a brilliant secure dog field which at £5 for half an hour is a bargain for our three. There is also a miniature railway. We will return again amd again, we love Cedar Barn!
