Beautiful and relaxed morning out. Gorgeous little hidden gem. During our visit we learnt so much with lots of knowledgeable staff leading talks about animals. We got to handle lots of items such as snake skins and tortoise shells. As the animals went they had a lovely assortment with my favorite being felma the owl. We got to feed the meerkats and fish which was really fun and asked a lot of questions that were answered with enthusiasm. The cedars park was also lovely and we spent about an hour walking around. Just around the corner from the nature center is a cafe so we could nip out to get a coffee between talks. Recommend for anyone looking for a fun but also educational activitie.

I've been coming here since I was a child. Whats not to love about nature. I found a mulberry bush here last week... lovely little sanctuary, Family friendly and lots of space for picnics and games. My only negative is the Cafe. They heat everything in a microwave so its soggy. GET AN AIRFRYER PLEASE. Dogs everywhere and the adult only section of the cafe has now been opened up to children. Not the best idea. I won't use it again because of wet dogs and the noise.

Visited the Pets’ Corner at Cedars Park and it was such a lovely little spot for kids. It’s small but really well kept, and perfect for younger children to see animals up close in a calm setting. The animals looked well cared for and it’s a nice, gentle activity within the park — especially if you’re already there for a picnic or day out. My kids really enjoyed it, and it’s great that it’s free, which makes the whole day even more budget-friendly. It’s also easy to access and pram-friendly, so no hassle getting around with little ones. Overall, a simple but enjoyable stop for families — definitely worth a visit if you’re in the park. 🕸️👀😊❤️

Great way to spend 30 mins with the kids. Educational and affordable. With opportunities to pet animals and wash hands.

We returned to Cedars Nature Centre with my animal loving 11 year old, for the junior keeper experience (2hrs). Aaron, our (training zoologist) keeper showed us around and answered every question we had expertly. He was so patient, unflappable and knowledgeable. We got up close to so many of the centre’s animals, helped with feeding and animal care, but the highlight was getting in with meerkats for feeding time. Honestly, this little animal centre do so well - standards are high for care (visitors and animals, both) and the staff are so passionate, knowledgeable and welcoming. Thanks for having us, she wants to come back next year for her 12th birthday:-)
