This is a stunning historical place. It is open to the public there was no waiting time to enter you can just walk straight inside. The staff are friendly and helpful. The garden is beautiful and the views from the inside out of the windows are great.

The building has so many stories to tell and rich in history. We found the exterior magnificent and Frilly’s tearoom was great.

A once grand stately home, now very well looked after as a venue for functions, there was a wedding today. The rooms are mainly empty, but there is a lot of information to browse as you walk round. For Poirot fans, an episode was filmed there, autographs on display. Enjoyable way to spend a half hour or so

I recently shot a wedding in the Old Library at Charlton House and feel like it must be one of the few unknown gems of potential wedding venues in London! The library is the perfect space for a wedding ceremony of medium size, and the grounds are the perfect backdrop for both photos, and space to walk around in. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and I absolutely recommend this to any book or history loving couple looking for somewhere unique to get married!

Definitely worth a visit. The house is historically very interesting and in a way the fact that it is rather bare with little to no furniture makes you appreciate the architecture itself more. There is also a nice little cafe (I highly recommend the chocolate brownie!). The walled garden is a lovely and peaceful oasis.
