Don’t get me wrong it is a lovely place but what they do not advertise is the fact that the water contains toxic algae. They have these flimsy little paper signs which you can’t see when it’s windy I was paddling in the water with my toddler for 35 minutes before we saw the sign and no station to wash it off. They should really have a big metal sign like they do at beaches. Park is lovely the cafe is great but do not go if you plan on paddling. P.s the picture was one I took from the park zoomed in on my phone the sign is very small and missable.

Nice place to visit. There are several walking paths, picnic tables, and playgrounds; an additional attraction is the railway station, offering the chance to take a short ride on a vintage train.

Pleasantly surprised. Nice area to go for a walk, takes about an hour to hour and a half to walk around the lake. Signage could be a little better and some routes are closed (the boardwalks require some repairs). Cheap all day parking at £3.50. Plenty of grass areas to kick a ball around

This is a lovely place for a walk, run or bike ride. It's hosts park run on Saturday mornings which covers 1 lap of the reservoir being 5k. Around 350 people take part and are there between 8.30am - 10am. The parking is cheap £1.20 for 2 hours and plenty of it available. There are toilets in the Innovation centre and a a lovely little cabin to get a drink or ice-cream from. Very often you can see deer over the far side of the reservoir so take your camera.

Great for a good walk round at around 5k end to end. Only £1.20 for parking is also great value. The centre has a cafe and toilets so all facilities you would need. Very often see deer hiding in the trees.
