Lovely place to take your kids, play in park. Nice foot path to walk down to the river Thames. As well as a nice field for picnic on a summers day
We attended for a football tournament. It might be useful to bring a net for balls going over fences as the river is deeper than it looks
My wife and I visited the area for the day. While there we visited the recreation ground to play on the play park. My kids are aged 9 and 12 and they played for over an hour at approx 5pm. The recreation ground had its own little car park that was free and there was what looked to be a club house with toilets however this building was not accessible as it was being refurbished and not open. There was a playing field with a walk and some trees that led away from the park to the river and other facilities. There were resistance exercise equipment, a half court basket ball court and zip line. None of which we used. The play park was very nice and I wish we had one similar where we live. It had picnic tables, hang bars, and swing toys that kept my older children amused. The was a small trampoline and an adventure climbing frame. A huge seesaw and other equipment. My kids had a lovely time and we really appreciate the quality of the park.
There is a real buzz of excitement at this playground, the children love it. The equipment range is great, its clean, well maintained, feels safe but quiet challenging. Come on a quiet day and climb to the top of the rope climbing frame and enjoy the view. This one of my favourite playgrounds. It makes me want to move here!
We are Aussie and kids needed a stretch great swings and playground
