Sadly we visited in a heatwave and it was too hot to wander around and look at the architecture however the pond needs a lot of cleaning and sprucing up it looked sad.. on a bright note there were some lovely birds here ..
The pond used to be a nice relaxing place but not so much nowadays. Often there is no seating - taken up by addicts in the area making it not very welcoming. Over the years it has become quite neglected and im pretty sure there is a rat infestation as i have seen many rodents in and out when nearby at night.
Clapton pond is nice and cozy area and lots of different kitchens which you will love to use it. Multi cultural center and additional information 7/24 you will be able to reach out so many things.
Clapton Pond is a lovely little historic gem tucked right into the bustle of Hackney. It’s the perfect spot to sit on a bench for a few minutes, read a book, or just watch the local wildlife. The main pond features a beautiful, tall central fountain that cascades down like a mini-waterfall, creating a really soothing, peaceful sound that drowns out the nearby traffic on Lower Clapton Road. The area is well-maintained with paved walkways, gorgeous weeping willows draping over the water, and plenty of ducks and coots swimming around. It has a great community feel, split into two sections with bridges and seating areas. It's not a massive park for a long trek, but as an urban neighborhood square with a water feature, it's absolutely charming. Perfect for a quick coffee break from one of the local cafes nearby! Pros: Relaxing fountain/waterfall sounds. Plenty of benches and shade under the willow trees. Lots of birdlife to watch. Cons: Right next to a busy road, though the water sounds help mask it.
Chris, I have a friend who's a really cheerful and kind guy. He loves his job. He's always smiling, and the people love him too. Whenever I see him, he's never idle, always working. Every park needs a friend like Chris.
