Claybury Park is one of those genuinely lovely green spaces in outer east London that somehow flies completely under the radar, and that's honestly a bit of a mystery because it really is a wonderful place to spend a few hours. Sitting on the border of Redbridge and the Essex countryside, it has a spacious, open quality that feels refreshingly different from the more manicured parks closer to central London. There's a real sense of breathing room here that's hard to put a price on. Facilities are fairly limited so it's worth bringing your own food and drinks, but honestly that just adds to the unspoilt, natural charm of the place. A truly underrated green space that northeast Londoners are very lucky to have! 🌳🌅🐕🏙️

Lovely peaceful park — feels like a hidden escape in London 🌿 We visited on a sunny day and it was really quiet, perfect for kids to run around freely without the usual crowds. The woodland paths are beautiful and there are some unique little spots (like the tree stairs, about 10 mins walk from the playground) which made it extra fun for the kids. Great place if you want a calm, low-stress outing. I could actually sit and watch while the kids explored, which is rare! Parking tip: We parked near Ravensbourne Gardens play area — about a 2–3 minute walk. There are multiple entrances around the park, so you can choose what’s closest for you. Things to note: • Not many facilities, so bring snacks/drinks • More of a nature park than a busy playground Overall, perfect for a relaxed family day, especially with young kids. 🌿☀️

I love this park, it has different landscapes as paths divide it in different areas. Some grassland, some dense forest, the playground is quite nice shame for the tall swing that broke and wasn't replaced.

Closest large green area to where I've been stopping. Been making a fairly regular loop of the park around 5km. It's a mixture of old woodland and open area with part of an old orchard. Lots of blackberries, sloe, apples at the right seasons.

Claybury park consists of walk paths, exercise machines, kids play area, a large pond and woods. Great for kids to run around in and ride their bikes. Gates are controlled and locked at sunset. BBQ or fires are not allowed.
