Cliffe Castle Museum & Park is a multi-faceted family destination housed within a beautifully restored Victorian mansion and surrounding grounds in Keighley. Originally built in the 1880s as the residence of wealthy textile manufacturer Henry Isaac Butterfield, the castle has been transformed into a museum showcasing atmospheric Victorian reception rooms complete with period furniture, paintings, decorative art, and a fascinating collection of minerals, fossils, mounted birds, vintage dolls, and toys. The 24-hour park features extensive grounds including award-winning Victorian gardens with water features, restored glasshouses filled with tropical plants and cacti, an aviary home to budgies and small animals, and walking routes through woodland areas. The Pavilion Café, housed in the rebuilt glasshouse, offers quality hot and cold refreshments for visitors. Families with children will appreciate the redeveloped play area, which includes a crawl tunnel, climbing wall, basket swing, wooden train and ship, and sandpit, designed to accommodate a wide age range. I stopped by almost by accident and was amazed how beautiful the garden is and then building itself. And all for free! Such a gem these days

Excellent cafe at Cliffe Castle. Good tea and scrumptious scones. Visit the castle museum, people. Lovely insight into that past the generated the future.

A beautiful manor extremely well renovated with an incredible small museum with beautiful exhibits on earth history, minerals, local animals, and even a well curated exhibition of Japanese drawings.

Brilliant free museum have been coming here some 50 years since a small child. The park is lovely with safe play area for children and a café with a good menu selection. Free concerts in summer at the bandstand and winter often bands play at the café. Every visit however old or young is an adventure.
