A very nice place! There is a playground, you can watch the water flow, and everything around is so beautiful. I really like it here...

Visited Clifton today the 13 th May, after a rainy night and morning,was a bit worried ,but did the right decision. When entered, there is a car Park,seems big enough, noticed the park has a green flag,the Caffe was open, where you can use toilet as well.just a bit further the play area,it's ok. The first trail I took was excellent, walked next to the lake ,someone was fishing, noticed lots of benches,some very close to the lake,in a good day you could pass some time there. The lake is big with a lot of trees surrounding.Walked a bit further notice the Irwell river,a sting current maybe because of the heavy rain,could have a stunning view from the bridge,could see in the river goosanders,than took smaller trails a bit muddy ,but not bad. Noticed a few ruins, one is blocked with the iron stairs(See video),no idea what use to be.loved the place, didn't see too much wild life, maybe because of weather,still squirrels,black headed gulls,and some other species of birds. A lovely place to pass a day with family, several picnic tables.

Amazing place to spend eith with friends and family Free parking but I suggest to get there on time as its getting full quickly Great cafe ,toilets available. Dogs friendly. Can go most places with strollers. I recommend to take spare clothes and wellies for running toddlers coz we had muddy pathways there today 😀

Lovely large space for families and dog walkers. Lots of paths off the lake too for quieter parts defo need wellies for that though. Well maintained, nice cafe and toilets open from 10am most days. Parkings usually great unless a hot day and can be busy.
